Chameleon and Boxfish-- Watercolour pencil versions

Nothing quite as cute as a baby chameleon!

This guys is named Inverse.  I'm not so keen on this background-- I may cut out the fish and rehome him.  But this one works.

Aboriginal tattoo girl

I made this girl several years ago, but never got her completed. Now, here she is. I was playing with the ideas of tattooing and also of using dots like the dreamtime paintings of Aboriginal Australians.

Elephant's Nest I

I have been playing with the words Elephant's Nest on the request of my aunt Kiki, whose Swedish Cabin goes by this name. She was wanting a plaque or picture in keeping with the name and it has taken me two years to come up with this design which I am quite happy with. This small version I knew would be too psychadelic for Kiki, so I gifted it to Kyra Fulford on the occasion of her graduation- July 2014.

Some carving inspired by Dean Rutz

Started on our trip to Quadra Island last month:

Two more encaustics pieces to Sarah for her bday
